Thank you all for making the HRP New Year Party for the Unhoused Community a beautiful and meahningful success.
Â
We are deeply grateful to Senga for the excellent planning and coordination that helped everything come together smoothly. As Scripture reminds us, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established” (Proverbs 16:3), and this was truly evident through the care and preparation that went into this event.
Â
A heartfelt thank you to Kate, Hassan, and Lucy for generously helping with serving the food, and special thanks to Kate for offering the blessing. Your service reflects the heart of Christ, for “Serve one another humbly in love” (Galatians 5:13).
Â
We also want to sincerely thank Eliot’s for allowing us to use their dining area. Your hospitality made it possible to welcome and serve our unhoused neighbors with dignity, warmth, and compassion. The Word reminds us, “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it” (Hebrews 13:2).
Â
Because of each of you—your time, your hearts, and your willingness to serve—many lives were touched as we welcomed the New Year together. As Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40). This gathering was a true reflection of that calling.
Â
May God bless you all abundantly as we continue to serve together in love and faith.
Â
With gratitude,
NDEGWA/HRP
